Na Fianna came away from Galbally on Sunday with a draw to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
The game was played in windy conditions with which Galbally had the advantage of in the first half.
They opened the scoring with a point after 2 minutes before Martin Hughes pointed after the ball had rebounded
off the Galbally crossbar from a fierce drive by Niall Fox. Further points from Dermot Thornton and Philip Toner
gave Na Fianna a 3-1 lead after 10 minutes. Two Galbally points levelled the game with 10 minutes renaining in the half..
Two points for each side left it a draw 0-5 apiece at half time.
In the first 10 minutes of the second half Galbally had two men sent off. It took 12 minutes for the first score of the
second half when Philip Toner pointed and a Louis O'Neill point extended the lead to two points. Galbally however struck
the next 3 scores against the wind and with only 13 men, one of which was a goal, which came from a fisted effort after
a high ball was kicked into Na Fianna square. This left us trailling by 3 points with only five minutes remaining and also reduced
to 14 men after Philip Toner received a second yellow. We kicked a few wides before eventually points from Dermot Thornton,
Brian Toner and substitute Plunkett Kane levelled the match 3 minutes into additional time.

In the first minute of the second half some good tackling by Nial Fox created a goal for Tiernan O'Hagan

Another good result in Carrickmore against a dogged Carrickmore team on a scoreline of 1 -11 to 0 - 08.
Again a great team performance with everyone playing their part.
The Fianna moved into a four point lead early and there were 17 minutes on the clock before the hosts registered
their first point. Both teams scored points before Carrickmore added the final points of the first half
to leave the half-time score 0 - 5 to 0 - 3 in favour of Na Fianna.
The lads moved 5 points clear after 5 minutes of the second half with some well taken points
and then traded points with Carrickmore for the next 15 minutes to leave 5 points between the teams

Seniors begin league with good home win against Ardboe (3rd April 2010)
A good start was made to the 2010 season with a fairly comfortable home win against Ardboe.
The scoreline probably doesn't do justice to The Fianna.
This was a great overall team performance from all, and bodes well for the season to come.
The game began with the Ardboe full-back conceding a first minute free and getting the first yellow of the game which
Dermot Thornton duly pointed.
Ardboe scored a couple of points but the Fianna responded with 6 six unanswered points.
The Ardboe full-back then received his marching orders before half-time, and although Ardboe scored twice before the break
The Fianna led by 0-7 to 0-4 at half-time.
In the second half The Fianna played some good football to move into a seven point lead before Ardboe scored their goal
and a further point to reduce the margin to three points with very little time left.
However, a final point by the Blues secured the points.
