We played host to an inter-county tournament on a very wet and windy Saturday with teams from Armagh, Lurgan Donaghmore, and Moortown.
The group stages were hard fought in the cup competition with Coalisland coming out victorious against Armagh Pearse Ogs ,Clann Eireann and Donaghmore and a draw against cup holders Moortown.
We met Moortown in the final and after a tense and exciting encounter emerged winners by a very tight 4points to 3 bringing the cup back to fr Peter Campbell park.
Well done to moortown for an excellent battle they did themselves proud and will return next year to try and win it back.
The shield competiton was also very tight with the Coalisland lads and lasses just missing out on a place in the final. It was won by Pearse Ogs in a fantastic match against Clann Eireann.
The youth committee would like to thank the teams from Armagh Pearse Ogs, Clann Eireann, Moortown and Donaghmore for coming along and making the day such a success.
Also, thamks to the referees, timekeepers and scorekeepers for giving up their time to help the day run so smoothly. Also the youth who represented their clubs so well and gave a fine display of football.
